Barrack Hill Burial Site Investigations

The Barrack Hill burial site investigation involved archaeological monitoring, detailed survey mapping, primary archival research, coordination with construction and planning staff, media relations, and modified archaeological methodologies developed for this unique site. All aspects of the investigation conformed to the MTCS Standards and Guidelines for Stage 4 mitigation and the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, and were undertaken with utmost care and sensitivity due to the nature of the site.
